            Kairyna crossed her arms and pouted at her father’s response. “Tamara’s parents are letting her go.”

            “Your father said the discussion was ended,” her mother scolded. “Honestly, Kairyna. You’re only twelve. There will be other chances to go to concerts.”

            “Like when you’re thirty.”

            “Hon.”

            “Thirty!? Dad, that’s not fair! If you’re worried about a chaperone, Tamara’s brothers are going, too. And what if Rachel and Mitsuo are allowed to go? We’ll stay together as a group. I promise.”
